Originally trained in the classics, with a deep love of Bach, Debussy, and Ravel, Reece’s first professional engagements came while playing in dance bands during the swing revival movement of the late 90’s where he developed a deep love for American Popular song, in particular compositions by Ellington, Waller, and Gershwin.
